Now 2022

Slow start for me so far. Busy with other things.

Last year 2021,  i bought  2 new Severne Mach 4 sails in sizes 7,0 and 7,8 m2, good sails.

Sailed on them in 2021 from summer and onwards.

Snart oktober

 Yes, i have not written so much on my surf site.

This year it have been good surfing sessions, i have posted untill know 33 sessions, mostly in Torkelstorp. We have done 10 race KOF/POF, all time high.

And i have used RRD x-fire V10  90 liter with NP EVO X  7,8 most of the sessions.

Also the summer was windy this year, normaly that is a poor period.

I have no new gears for this year, but next year i will have new sails (7,0 + 7,8) Severne Mach 4.

Let´s see how the autuumn will be !

2020 years surfing kicked off.

Torkelstorp lördag 18 januari. Wind from SW, gusty, very high sea level (+40 cm), choppy water.
I just did some turns since i had to be somewere elles in the early afternoon.

6°C air temp and 5°C water temp.
Sailed with X-fire 90 liter and 7,8m2 sail.

2018 last surfing day.

8 December i did the last surfing day for 2018.
Waiting for next year !

Start of 2018

The seasons started with some stone marking in Torkelstorp.
BQ have also been out marking stones.

My first surf session was in april and then in june.

December surfing Torkelstorp

BQ and i did some december surfing in Torkelstorp.
Grey and partly rain, +5 degree air temp.
I saild on RRD V9 X-fire 108 liters board with NP RS Evo7 8,6 sail.

Also first time i used my new Pro Limit suite, with tubes that you can blow air to the hands.
Good thing, i didn't not freeze at all. I used an open palm glowe.

The sailng was made in moderate winds, 7-8 m/s.

SM i Speed i Torkelstorp 2017.

TTVK arrange the swedish championship in Speed surfing on saterday 30 sept and sunday 1 oct.
Gusty winds from SE, flat water, sunny weather.

We were 20 sailors in total.
On saterday we did 2 heats. Each heat 3 hrs long and one heat on sunday morning, total 3 heats (9 hrs).

Half year 2017

Quit windy summer this year.
Up till now, i have posted 22 sessions. First session was in april.
I have bought two NP EVO sails from Mackan (EVO 7 and EVO 8) and a new slalom board from Surfers (X-fire V9 108).
Yet no good high speed runs. Only been surfing in T-torp.

Would like another run i Vikhög.

Surfing i Torkelstorp lördag 26 nov.
Vind från WNW, byig sådan, korta dessutom.
Körde sp53 + NS Warp F2013 6,3 m2.
Svårt att få riktig speed. Vinden mojnade efterhand så att brädan blev i minsta laget.
+9 grader i luften.

November sailings.

Yes, the weekend 19-20 november i did some surfing in Torkelstorp, my homespot.
Saterday was great with strong wind from south, as always some bumpy conditions, but still handable. Air temperature 6 °C and the water temp the same !
I sailded with RRD X-fire 98 liters board and 7,0 m2 sails NS Warp F2013.
Ended up at 31,47 kts as average speed.

On sunday 20 november the prognosis was promissing but the wind never reach the T-torp area.
I tried with RRD X-fire 98 liters and NS Warp F2016 7,7 m2 but no luck.
Just below 26 kts in avergae speed. There was to less wind.

Let see if there will be another session before the year ends.

Speed surfing in Vikhög saterday 15 october.

Yes, we had a great speed surfing day in Vikhög (skåne) on saterday, 15 october.
Wind from east about 10-15 m/s, gusty winds. 10°C air temp and water temp.
Many sailers did PB, including my self.

I sailed with Sp53 and an old NP RS Racing sail 5,8 m2 from 2008.

My new PB is avg 5x10s: 35,88 kt and top speed 39,21 kt.

After work surfing friday 30 september

Good after work surf session on friday 30 september in T-torp.

Went out after 16:00 hrs, not so much wind, but the wind picked up at 17:00 hrs.
Some guts was good.

Sailed with SP63 and NS Warp 7,7 m2.

Average speed 5 x10 s 32,2 kn.

Premier windsurfing 2016.

On Easter monday (28 march) i did my windsurfing premier for 2016 in Torkelstorp.
Wind from SE/S, started with 8 m/s and i sailed with RRD X-Fire V7 98 litre and NS Warp F2016 7,7 m2.
Later on the wind picked up and i went down to Warp F2013 7.0

Sunny and warm.
No real speed the first day and i had to consider my RH knee as well.
But good to started up.

Torkelstorp 14 november 2015.

Saterday, gusty wind from west. Very high water level (+0,8 m).
That made it quit bumpy.
+8 degrees air temp. Was cold on the hands/fingers in the beginning.
No real speed event due to the conditions but nice to sail.

Juli surf i Torkelstorp.

26 of july was a great day with lots of wind in T-torp.
Gusty winds from west.  Wind increased from afternoon and onwards, >13 m/s.
Someone sad that the gust was up to 19 m/s.

Since the water level, was high, there was a choppy conditions.

I had no success in the chopp but Daniel B and Johan G did nice runs and scored good 5 x 10 s average.
Daniel did 39 kts (max top) in this conditions !!

 

2015 start

On saterday 17 januari i did the first session for 2015.
Wind from SW 9-11 m/s.
It was cold, only +3 degree air temp and the same in the water.
HIgh water level means some choppy conditions.
Was cold for the hands. Made it difficult to speed with control.

Started with sp63 + 7,8 m2.

Since i had problem to keep the controll due to cramp in left under arm and cold fingers i changed later on to sp53 + 7.0 m2 (realy on the border, to small).

Average 29,3 kn (5x10 s).

Lucia surf 2014.

Lucia surf on 13 december 2014 in Torkelstorp.

High water level means choppy water conditions, not perfect for speed surfing.

Wind from west, 9-13 m/s.

I picked CA sp53 and NS Warp 6,3 m2.

Ove and later on M.Lamm joined aswell.

We sailed up in the Tjolöholms viken were the water was less choppy.

No speed results from me though, due to the chopp.
Average speed 5x10 s, 30,8 kn.

Even if it was choppy it was good and nice to surf.

SVF Speed cup 2014

27-28 september was the last speed event in the swedish cup 2014.
It was held in my home spot, Torkelstorp.
Saterday had sunny weather and wind from W, gusty winds, from 8-12 m/s.
We did 2 heat (2+2 hr).

On sunday the wind was much weaker and dropping, SW.
We did only one heat.

Totaly i ended on 7:th place (out of 24 sailers) and in the 2014 SVF cup on 8:th place.

I sailded on CA 63 and Warp F2014 7,8 m2 on saterday and Warp F2012 8,6 m2 on sunday.
No high Speeds, i think i did only 32 kn.

Februari sailing

Early spring or wind from south made it possible to windsurf in februari.

Weekend 22-23 februari i saild both days in Torkelstorp (home spot).
We had wind from south 10-12 m/s. Air temp 4-5 degree.

I saild on CA sp53 and NS Warp 7,0 m2.

Some choppy water made it not so easy to speed, but still quit ok.

On 22:nd februari, my birthday, i even got some birthday cake from Mats, nice.

last session for 2013.

Today 30 dec i sailed the last event for this year.
Wind was from SSW, approx 8 m/s. During december the wtaer level have been quit high in Torkelstorp making the water choppy, even at low wind speeds.

Air temp today +6 degrees.
Used my winter suite RipCurl flash bomb 6/5/4 mm and also the shoe from Rip Curl 7 mm.
Only the fingers in the beginning get cold, but after a while it is OK (semi open glow).
This was my 4:th session in december this year. Quit windy december with winds from S and SW.

I sailed on CA sp63 + NS Warp F2012 8,6 m2 and mXr Ufo weed 30 cm fine.
